3D Rocking Chair

Used the design Studio, George n basic shapes and Doodletype carts. This Rocking Chair can be given on numerious occassions for example new baby; retirement or Just Because! I embellished this the lazy way using fabric stickers! Really pleased with the outcome, more so because it rocks!!!!
Rocking Chair Instructions

Items you will need:

· Cricut & Design Studio; George basic shapes and Doodletype cartridges
· Card of your choice
· Craft Knife
· Scissors
· Glue
· Fabric for dressing (personal Choice) for cushions!
· Embellishments of your choice could include: flowers, ribbon, stickers, even a little baby doll!

Instructions

1. If the cut has been downloaded and you’re outside of the UK, please go to the control panel on your PC and change the regional language/location from English/UK to your own.

2. Cut the file out as you would normally, using your design studio and Cricut.

3. Cut the chair ends (page 1) out four times, two for each side, turn the card pattern side down for 2 cuts (if using patterned card!). This will add strength when adhered together, as well as to allow the chair to stand independently and rock without buckling under its weight.

4. Measure the back of the chair and crease at the following intervals:
· 18 cm’s from the highest point
· the remaining card should measure 5.5 cm

5. Crease the tabs on the chair back and stick to the outside of the chair side, to hide the tabs and to neaten the look adhere the second chair side over the top; for the seat of the chair tabs need to face downwards before being glued into place.

6. For the cushion you require a length of card (page 3), creasing at the following intervals:

· 2 cm
· 5.5 cm
· 2 cm
· 5.5 cm
· 2 cm

Glue into place to resemble a match box cover, then secure onto the rocking chair.

7. Embellish away!

Tips

1. Before gluing your cuts, if you have a cuttlebug, dry emboss them or with any other dry embosser!!

2. Again if you have Pergamano tools, prick a design into the pieces before assembly.

3. Use 3D liquid pearl paint and apply stickies to give your work dimension.

4. Admittedly there are thousands of embellishments you can use to decorate, some include ribbon; buttons; stickers; flower arrangements; glitter/glues; or whatever you can lay your hands on!!!

5. For the really heavy embellishments, use strong glue ie: hot glue gun to secure fixture!!! But don’t over do it, otherwise it will buckle!!

6. Happy crafting and enjoy your cut file.

For the Avid Gardener.....

I designed the watering can using the design Studio and George and basic shapes cartridge, put together a flower arrangement, using a selection of flowers, feathers, and beads. On the watering can I added ribbon (to hide the seams!) brads to fix the 2 handles, prima flowers, using brad buttons for the middles! and lastly some lace to give the effect of standing on a mat.
Watering Can Instructions

Items you will need:

· Cricut & Design Studio and George basic shapes
· Card of your choice
· Craft Knife
· Scissors
· Glue
Embellishments of your choice could include: flowers, ribbon, even sticker

Instructions

1. If the cut has been downloaded and you’re outside of the UK, please go to the control panel on your PC and change the regional language/location from English/UK to your own.

2. Cut the file out as you would normally, using your design studio and Cricut.

3. Cut the handles (page 1) out twice; 1 handle for the top and the other for the side. Evenly crease twice down the length and glue; this will add strength to the handles.

4. Roll the funnel (page 4) and measure to the correct size by placing it into the funnel hole on the can body, angle the funnel and mark the funnel at the desired position. Remove the funnel and glue into place, ensure the seam is facing downwards. Cut at regular intervals on each end of the funnel, to make tabs.

5. Cut out the funnel end (page 6) measure onto the funnel and fix into place with glue.

6. Measure the diameter, half the measurement and use a compass to draw and cut out the funnel sprinkler. Glue into position.

7. Adhere the funnel onto the can body (page 5).

8. Crease all tabs on the top and base pieces. Glue both top and bottom simultaneously starting with the funnel at the front, placing the hole on the top piece to the front, above the funnel. Then glue the body ends, overlapping to give a neat finish.

9. Glue the top and bottom covers (page 7) onto the can to neaten.

10. Mark holes on the can where you want to position the handles using a piecing tool.

11. Use an eyelet puncher (the largest hole), make holes each end of the handles. The both handles require bending over and adhering to the can using large brads. Use a long handled tool to split the brads inside of the can and secure.

12. Make a flower arrangement, and drop it into the can via the hole on the top. Position the handle, then embellish away!

Meet Gracie

My daughter Alyssa wanted a companion, so when we moved I said she could have a puppy come Spring. Meet Gracie our lovely chocolate labrador - mind you Alyssa said "she's not chocolate she's real", sweet! As you can see Gracie loves water, my carpet didn't! Alyssa is so proud of our new addition that she is constantly talking about her at school, which helped her to improve on her progress. When Gracie has had all her Jabs, Alyssa has had permission to take her into school for a 'show and tell', as they are studying animals. She is so looking forward to doing this.

Happy Anniversary

Dry embossing again using the celebrations board, added a little dimension glue and beads to give the bubble effect of bubbly! The confetti above the glasses looks clear but it has gone a different colour due to the lack of light and the flash on the camera! Added ribbon and sticker fonts.

Thinking of you!

Used the dry embossing technique ' Glitter girls embossing board - celebrations' to complete this card, added chalk a little doodling, a few embellishments, fonts and wa la!!!
